ET Leach & Partners
Founded as ET Leach & Partners in 1946 with its own head office in Whitchurch in Shropshire, the practice provided post-contract commercial management services almost exclusively for Contractors on a national basis and as such, Leach’s commercial managers were heavily involved in the massive expansion of the UK’s infrastructure network during the 1960’s and 1970’s.
The Leach Partnership
Upon the retirement of the founding partner in the early 1970’s, the practice became The Leach Partnership with the remaining Partners. The work profile remained the same; predominantly post-Contract commercial management and claims for UK-based Civil Engineering and Building Contractors.
This period also saw an expansion of the business with the commencement of overseas work in Africa in 1975.
The Modern Practice
The Leach Partnership ultimately split into three discrete businesses in the very early 1980’s. The modern forerunner of today’s business, Leach Southern, opened its own offices in Wolverhampton and Bath and covered most of the Southern half of England continuing to provide post-Contract services as before.
As a result of expansion, Leach Southern became Leach Consultancy in the late 1980’s. It also saw the start of an expansion in the overseas work and the areas covered worldwide. The practice became incorporated in 2001 becoming Leach Consultancy Limited.
In the meantime it had also expanded its coverage of the UK by opening offices in London in 2001 and in the North Yorkshire area in 2003 both of which continue today.
This modern consultancy reflects and enhances the experience and reputation gained since 1946 in assisting clients with their specific commercial requirements and Leach continues to satisfy its clients’ needs through:
- Servicing its clients in the UK
- Servicing its clients internationally
