Managing Director
Melvyn joined Leach in 1965 and currently has special responsibility for activities in the Midlands and the North. He has extensive building, civil engineering and M & E experience in preparation and negotiation of contractual claims and in the provision of assistance to legal teams in arbitration and litigation proceedings in the UK and overseas. Melvyn acts as an expert witness and has successfully represented Contractors and Sub-Contractors in over 50 Adjudications. Melvyn is a Corporate Reviewer for the ICES and a member of the ICES Contracts and Dispute Resolution Panel. He is also a member of the DRBF.
Sam Whitehouse BSc(Hons) MRICS
Director
Sam joined Leach in 2007 and was appointed as a Director in January 2009. Sam is the Director specifically responsible for Leach group international work. Sam has 25 year’s post qualification experience. Prior to joining Leach Sam was involved in the preparation and resolution of claims, adjudications, arbitrations and other legal issues on various projects as Commercial Director of a major UK building Contractor. His specialised experience included overseas projects in Cyprus and the Falkland Islands. Sam is conversant with all forms of building and civil engineering contracts both in the UK and internationally and has a wide experience in all forms of dispute resolution and ADR. Sam is a member of the DRBF.
Paul Crabb BSc(Hons) MRICS
Director
Paul joined Leach in 2002 and was made a director responsible for London and the South East in 2004. Paul has worked extensively in the health and education sectors on a variety of schemes from inception to completion working for both the Funder / Contractor and Client. Apart from the more traditional Client led roles he has worked on a number of PFI, LIFT and P21 schemes and more recently on the current wave of Building Schools for the Future schemes.
Andrew L Charters BSc(Hons) MRICS
Director
Andy joined Leach in 1989 and currently has special responsibility for activities in Wales and the South West. He has extensive building and civil engineering experience in preparation and negotiation of contractual claims and in the provision of assistance to legal teams in arbitration and litigation proceedings. Andy is experienced in the resolution of disputes through adjudication.
Peter J Eley MInstCES AAArb(RSA)
Consultant
Peter joined Leach in 1974 and spent 15 years based in Southern Africa between 1982 and 1997. He is specifically responsible for all international activities having worked in over twenty countries worldwide. During the past 25 years Peter has specialised in claims, contract administration, dispute avoidance, dispute resolution and commercial management acting for international contractors on a wide variety of major projects. Peter has retired as a Director but continues to employ his specialist international experience as a consultant.
